Jen has had a few careers and hobbies (beginning as a pilot!) and the only thing common to them all is TRAVEL. One of her core beliefs is that memories and adventures build both closeness and resilience. Travel has always been something her family has valued (her grandmother even kayaked down the Zambezi River when she was 78 years old!).
Hi, Jen! Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Jen was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, but has lived in Ohio since college. She has a charming husband, two wonderful sons, three awesome bonus kids, and a clingy 100 lb silver lab.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I have always, always, always wanted to go to Maldives, Tahiti or Fiji. The allure of “far, far away” always calls to me. Plus, I’m a sucker for pristine beaches and island culture!
What is your favorite trip memory?
By far, my favorite trip was a surprise I put together for my sister’s 30th birthday. Five of us went and no one knew where we were going until we got to the airport. I told them what to pack and when to meet me at SFO. When we all got to the airport; I finally told everyone… we were going to the Philippines!
What advice would you give someone going to Disney World for the first time?
Enjoy everything. Take the time to stop and check out the details. That’s part of what makes Disney so unique. All of the tiny details and thought that has been put into everything. There is SO much to experience there. Don’t try to do everything all in one trip. Take the time to enjoy the moments!
What is your favorite Disney ride?
It’s A Small World
