Lexis is a travel professional currently residing in Mississippi. She is a mother to a wild little girl, who says she’s a Chief not a princess. Lexis and her family have a heart for animals and constantly have foster dogs in their home along with their three forever dogs. They are huge Star Wars fans so it’s no surprise that Hollywood Studios is their favorite spot to visit.
Hi, Lexis! Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I’m originally from Indiana but now live in Mississippi due to relocation for my husband’s work. We have a 4 year old daughter, who I stay at home with, and she’s my personal assistant to my travel business. My family loves all things Star Wars, Disney, and dogs, especially pitbulls. We regularly have 3-6 additional dogs in our home on top of our ‘furever’ 3 as we foster with a local rescue.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Right now my top choice would be Italy, but waiting until Arya gets a little older before we start our international travel other than cruises and all inclusive resorts!
Why did you become a travel planner?
I became a travel planner as something to do that is just for me. I started staying home with my daughter, which I’m so incredibly thankful I am able to do so, but it’s easy to lose yourself in the everyday life when you are “just taking care of a tiny human.” I love traveling and planning so it just made sense.
Why did you choose The Charming Travel Co.?
I chose The Charming Travel Co because of Gina and Sarah. Knowing them and their character I knew this would be an amazing company to work with! Also because it would be a smaller agency that I could be with and see start from the ground up which is super exciting!
What is your favorite part of the job?
Seeing my clients travel and how excited they are during their trips! I’m so grateful for all the pictures I receive! Also the friends you make by “just booking a trip” for someone, some of my closest friends have started out as someone who just messaged me for help with a Disney trip!
Which Disney/Universal park is your favorite?
Hollywood Studios hands down because of Galaxy’s Edge. There was so much put into that area to make it completely immersive, it’s absolutely amazing!
